THE LIMITS are back..to take you "Back to the 60's" The Limits, one of Eastern Pennsylvania's first garage/brit influenced bands, sprang up in Allentown, Pa., in late 1964. The Lehigh Valley was an amazing collective of musicians, teen clubs, radio DJ's, friends, and fans. Along with THE LIMITS, bands like The King's Ranson, The Shillings, Uproar, Dooley Invention, and national hitmakers Jay & the Techniques all enjoyed varying success, and played regularly at under 21 clubs such as The Purple Owl, The Mad Hatter, The Mod Mill, and King Arthur's Court. Influenced by the Beatles, Stones, Kinks, Hollies, as well as soul and R&B groups, THE LIMITS played raw, passionate songs, showing a love for pop, R&B, as well as garage and party rock. In 2004, THE LIMITS had a 40th reunion to an overflowing crowd of over 500 people in Allentown. Since then, they have played periodically in and around the Lehigh Valley at festivals, reunions, and private events. Original members, Rook, Chris, and Beau Jones, Irwin Goldberg, Rick Levy, and Hub Willson (formerly of The Shillings)..still deliver a great show, guaranteed to make your event a success!! Alex Chilton, legendary singer for THE BOX TOPS and BIG STAR has called THE LIMITS..."the quintessential American garage band..both preposterous and sublime." Contact Rick Levy at 904 806 0817 or rick@ricklevy.com to book the original LIMITS.
